Scoliosis Screenings

We offer pediatric and adult scoliosis screenings, helping to identify a problem before it gets worse.

Scoliosis is a spinal condition characterized by an abnormal, sideways curvature of the spine. The curve can be C-shaped or S-shaped and may occur at any age, though it is most commonly identified in adolescents. Scoliosis can result from various factors, including congenital issues, neuromuscular conditions, or idiopathic reasons. Symptoms may include uneven shoulders, waist, or hips. Treatment options vary depending on severity and can range from observation to braces and, in extreme cases, surgical intervention.

Childhood Scoliosis Screening

Often times there is a family history of scoliosis, which means if one of the parents has scoliosis, all the kids should be checked to ensure all is well genetically.

It is much easier and more effective to treat scoliosis before children stop growing and reach skeletal maturity around 18 to 21 years old.

Adult Scoliosis Screening

Many adults may not know if they have a scoliosis, unless they had back pain and had x-rays done by a chiropractor. In many cases, some people may not realize they have scoliosis until they are screened professionally to determine their spinal shape and health.
